JUST IN ONE DAY
Her womb loaded for nine long months with the usual pregnancy tussle - headache, vomit, cold, malaria etc. She was expectedly terrified and in eagerness awaited the visitor she had ever patiently longed for.
In labour, the fruit of the womb could not be naturally birthed, hence the reason for resorting to surgery. That necessitated moving her to a more-sophisticated hospital where human and non-human resources were readily available.
The doctors exerted their energies to their peak but the baby rather landed lifeless. What a pity! The husband was sad, though partly happy that his wife was still alive. In few hours, burial arrangements had been concluded and the dead went six-feet aground that sorrow-filled morning. Innaa liLlaahi wa innaa ileihi raaji'uun!
In the evening of the same day, relatives of the mother were enjoined to pray earnestly for their child's safety. They did. They really did. But she kicked the bucket in the long run. Baby in the morning, mother in the evening! Just in one day. May Allah accept them into His Paradise.
You don't have money, but you have sound health. And you complain that Allah has done you no favor, kindly do a one-minute visit to the hospital so as to see the value for your sound health. Many have money but the riches cannot afford them sound health. Some are in the hospital spending their money on drugs, yet their situation is nowhere near cure. Why would you not thank Allah in whatever situation you found yourself?
