LET ISLAM GUIDE YOUR REACTIONS
Fortunate is he whos is guided in all situations by the texts of Islam rather than his whims and emotions. I know you and I may not have a common understanding on that, and so I'll not be surprised if you disagree with some aspects of my answer to a question on the death of Jamal Khashoogee:
1. The Saudis have accepted responsibility for the crime as a govt, and by extension, MBS is a suspect (for now he remains just a suspect). At worst, it will be proven that he killed his opponent.
2. Most Muslims are outraged and react to it exactly the way the Western World has primed them to react to issues of this nature: denounce the leader and call for his removal. Forget that Turkey and each of the Western powers equally kidnap, incarcerate or eliminate their citizens considered to be a threat to their perceived national interests.
Search for the names Fethullah Gullen and Abdullah Ocalan on Google to know why the first remains in exile till today and how if the Turkish govt had its way it would not spare anything to kidnap him from foreign soil as it did the PKK leader, Ocalan. Only Allah knows if he's still alive in their custody, and only Allah knows how many Kurdish leaders may have been eliminated to protect perceived Turkish national interest.
You should also search for Edward Snowden, an American citizen, and find out why he is in hiding outside the USA today. Did he forget America's excellent human rights records? He was a CIA agent/contractor and he knows how easily the CIA eliminate people to protect American interest.
If you care, search also for Carles Puidgemont and find out why the former Catalonian leader fled Spain. He should have trusted in Spanish human rights records and remain in Spain - he was wiser than do that.
Generally therefore, all these Western powers use double standards to manipulate us when dealing with issues of international interest of this nature.
But what is expected of a true Muslim in this situation?
Simply remember that MBS has not killed - if at all - anyone better than the Prophet's companions who died on the orders of Alhajaaj Bun Yusuf. Neither are we better Muslims than those companions who witnessed the era of Alhajjaaj. They stuck to the texts regarding how to handle injustice from leaders because they were guided by Islam. We choose to follow what our "education" tells us is standard today, and we end up following our emotions and dancing to the drum beats of our Western teachers.
Has anyone justified what happened at the Saudi Embassy? Not really. We have only reminded you of how those before us would have reacted to it.
